We can argue the point all day long that accounting and taxes are very complex. Throw in time constraints of life then it just
seems all that more difficult. I am a CPA with 12 years experience in the field of accounting and taxation and I will tell you that anyone can make things more difficult than it needs to be.

I have even seen how the profession through regulation has become more complex and in return made it more difficult or complex to do business. We need letters for everything. Our liability insurance company requires very complex engagement letters with so much legalese it will make your head spin. I usually have to translate the letter so that my customers understand what they are signing. It’s ridiculous but needed I suppose now that a few bad apples have spoiled it for everyone.
